I went from a half inch to a 9/16. I'm using those rubber gauges where you can completely see through. I'm used to minor pain, I've been stretching my ears for two and a half years now, and never really had any issues. I used a brand new, never used gauge, and stretched it six days ago. I've been experiencing discomfort, such as tenderness and sensitivity towards touch, nothing I can't really handle, and I can tug on it a bit before the pain really gets to me. However, tonight I finally took a full on look at it, after I realized that the section of ear below my gauge was still extremely stiff and swollen. I managed to squeeze the gauge together a bit, and the pain was terrible in doing so, and blood and white puss gushed out. I was surprised by this, so I checked the back. Which, had a ring of dead skin on the inner side of the gauge, dried blood and, since I'd messed with it, fresh blood too. I really don't want to take the gauge out, it hurts too badly and my gauge will not budge. It was difficult just squeezing it together a bit to see my actual ear. I put rubbing alcohol on both sides in hope to maybe flush out any bad bacteria, but I fear that it'll never heal. I almost cannot physically remove the gauge, and I wasn't sure if this could cause any horrible damage to my ear. Currently, my entire ear, the part of my neck around my ear, and my throat on that side hurt, which they hadn't until tonight when I fiddled with it to see what was wrong. I want to know what options I have, taking out is on the very, VERY bottom of that list. And I was wondering what explanations there were to why it would be so badly swollen. Like I've said, I have been doing this for years, and I've never had any issues. I just don't want my ear to rip.

I have a year old dog.?

She has gone through various training and is currently doing agility with me. However, her problems at home have continued she goes after my fiance. My neighboring tooth hurt after a dental implant procedure, do that mean something went wrong?

I had a dental implant surgery three days ago, to insert graft bone etc. It gave me severe pain after dumbness go off. Over the next two days, the tooth next to the surgery site have continual painful/stress feeling. First day on the Au Pair job... HELPP?

So long story short, I started as a nanny today (I'm still in highschool) with this family of two boys and a 16 year old girl. Their dad just passed away, so I felt this tug at my heart to help. They live in a very unstructured environment, and are understandably a little confused as to how to behave. I grew up in a strict, structured environment and I told them right off the bat that they were going to respect me and be polite and obedent. This is my entire summer, and I know everyone has walked out on this family, I don't want to add to that (the father killed himself), but its only my first day and I'm at my wits end....

How can I get my boyfriend to still be a partner to me when he has his daughter?

My boyfriend is recently divorced and has two daughters, the 12 year old has not spoken to him since the divorce, the ten year old comes to our house one weeknight, and every other weekend. I have a daughter that is also 10, who has Autism. My problem is that when his daughter comes to our house there is no 'us.' When she is here he is literally attatched to her hip permanently. I cook, and do all the usual household things just as I always would, but he fixes her plate, cleans it, lays on the floor with her for hours holds her hand everywhere we go...etc. I am very left out and so is my daughter. I have tried to bond with his daughter and it woked in the beginning, when I was setting up her area of the house, getting her a pet, and things like that, but now I can't get anywhere with her, not even this past weekend with Father's Day as my suggestion for us to buy or make something for him! When she is here there is absolutely no time for adult conversation, intimacy beyond a peck which he says "but I always make sure to kiss you and check on you." But because his daughter is always right there she is staring right at me when he does this and he can't understand why I act stiff when he kisses me. He has even asked her for 1 minute to be with me and she tugs and wrestles with him and says "your minute is up." I just turn to my daughter and try to ignore it when this happens. She has also begun sulking at outings in order to garner his full attention. The first instance was my daughter's birthday party which I made sure to include her in, even used a theme she liked. He ended up seperate from the guests playing catch with her for 70% of the party. Here's where my issue is: his behavior. I do not blame the child, she is experiencing feelings that she has trouble dealing with and expressing from the divorce and from her father's relationship with me. He however, feels guilt and way overcompensates with her. He justifies his behavior by saying he doesn't get to see her everyday, but there is a healthy way to have a relationship with a non-custodial parent, and this is not it. If it is this bad now her teenage years will be hell, on all of us. I am not trying to take his time with her away, but we are living together and he says he wants to be with me forever. But he doen't try to work toward us being a family. He lives with me, and spends every day that his daughter is not with him obsessed with calling her, then when he has her he disappears, he's here in body, but might as well be in another state. To add to the mess, his divorce states that his daughter cannot be in the same house with anyone not related by blood or marriage from 8pm to 8am so they have to sleep at a grandparent;s house. He already pays over half his income in child support and medical costs monthly so he has no money to amend the divorce. This sleeping arrangement makes the whole thing even more of a mess (it's my dad they stay with, which I arranged so he wouldn't lose overnight visitation). I have done everything I can to make this work and I am the doormat. He did buy me a ring, which I wear always, and he has never discussed this with his daughter, which def does not help. Is there no hope that he will ever be able to manage to be a Dad and a partner at the same time? I'm losing patience and hope It is not easy s not easy to find any guy willing to accept my daughter and the lifetime responsibilty she brings, I am afraid I am settling because I fear that as I get older and my daughter becomes more 'obvious' in her autistic traits I will have no hope. Someone help me make the right move...

What type of dog do you have because if it can tear apart many things then it sounds like a BIG dog...i have a Labrador Retriever and she did the same to all of her plastic chew toys...the best thing to get for BOTH the dogs would be a big KONG ball...it is a plastic chew toy, but it's IMPOSSIBLE for dogs to chew into pieces, my dog hasn't chewed it apart. It's also good because you can stick some peanut butter in it for them as a little treat, and it will make him not focus on biting your 3-year-old male's ... but trying to lick every last bit of the peanut butter out. You can purchase these at a local pet store or Petsmart.

i'm a 23 year old female & i have a friend who's a paramedic & he's recently told me that it sounds like i have anemia. Though i haven't told him about my extremely bad cramping at my menstrual cycle because it would just be awkward, i thought it'd be better to ask here. i often get lightheaded whenever i get up. I easily get headaches & I don't concentrate very long in anything I'm working on. I'm tired a lot of the time, no energy & have hard times going to sleep at night. So I would say I'm pretty emotional, sometimes I hate it, and sometimes i think it's a great thing. Or sometimes I ignore my feelings. But I am a very sympathetic, and empathetic person. So I get a clear vibe of how people feel. Some people that are like that would use their knowledge to manipulate people, I used to. But I see so much pain in the world that I just want to help the person out. So on a daily basis I'm usually contradictive, I'm pessimistic but can be optimistic with helping people. It's weird, I often feel unloved and rejected but that's fine. When I see birds flying I feel so free flowing and fresh I kinda like that feeling. Kids hugging a person I think so loving and the innocence of a child is so pure and I love that. And yes sometimes I get a huge tug on my chest, actually it feels more like my heart tensing up, when certain emotions of mine are so intense I feel that tug. Hi, my name is Ali and I am 17. I have 2 best friends and I want to take a picture with them and I have an idea i think is good for the situation. I am both of their best friends so obviously they have to share me, my 2 best friends are not really good friends with each other, I mean they get along but i know deep down they don't care for each other mainly because they both want me for just themselves!!! Let's say employers simply refuse to create new jobs or hire new people. They just place hiring freeze and use every single employee of theirs to do the work of 2 to 3 people. Those people accept the work of 2 to 3 with no pay increase. And then going home those people then drink lot of alcohol (beating wife and pet in some cases, which leads to abusive household environment for kids, etc etc) and smoke a lot due to the excessive stress at work. After health damage of employee, they seek lots of medical treatments and ER visits, which increases health care costs exponentially. So what happens to the economy with no more jobs and dramatically rising health care costs? And is this scenario a possibility, or it will never happen?

Puppy ripped my ear lobe?

My 9.5 weeks old Scottish Terrier was playing with his chew toy & suddenly jumped up grabbed my ear lobe and tugged on it, ripping it. I instinctively yelled out (because it hurt like H e l l ), he sat down for a second then lunged for it again! I have tried everything to get this pup to stop biting. When I go to redirect him by handing a Nylabone, etc. he will lunge for my arm, fingers, hands, shirt, anything he can get his teeth into. I tried squirt bottles, pennies in a can, clapping loudly, firmly saying NO, gently squeezing his muzzle, etc. all to no avail. I don't think he's being aggressive, just playing rough and trying to dominate. What can I do to stop this behavior before it gets worse. My husband was so mad when he saw my ear. I need help.

She had two still born pups on Friday night at 9:30 pm- they were obviously under-developed because they had no hair, fused eyelids and ear buds that were not fully formed. After she had them, I removed them from the cage to let her rest...but I saw no blood, placenta or cords of any kind. The next day she was lethargic and obviously in pain. I noticed some bloody discharge in her cage. I wrapped her in a towel and put a hot compress on her to try to induce the discharge of the placenta and rubbed her belly gently. She seemed septic already and was shivering, and I though of giving her infants tylenol susp.-but I didn't want to give her anything that could damage her liver. My only thought was if the placenta didn't come out, or another pup was in there...she would die of sepsis. So, I put gentle pressure on her belly right above her vagina and held onto the cord coming out of her, but didn't tug or pull...yet she died on my lap after about a minute of trying at around 4pm, less than 24 hours after giving birth. I find it hard to believe she was that septic already. Was it me pulling the cord? Maybe the babies were dead for awhile and she was septic from that to begin with? I have no experience with this and her widow will remain alone because I DO NOT want to deal with this again. Does anyone have any input? Is this common?

'm your classic teenager. I stay up late at night and sleep in during the summer. I've noticed something strange though. I'll stay up for sometimes over 35 hours at a time, and not be tired. I'll try to sleep, but I usually sit there for hours at a time, with no sleep. If I do sleep its for only a few hours at a time. Then I'll stay awake for another extremely extended amount of time. Its been about a week of this odd sleeping schedule and I've noticed other things as well. I've an immense decrease in appetite, and I feel sick if I eat to much. I force myself to drink enough water, even if it upsets my stomach.When I do eat I try to eat fruits and vegetables, things that are healthy, with things packed with fat and protein. Due to this I've lost a considerable amount of weight and it is begging to worry me. I have an odd little bruises on my leg. I also have extreme headaches that come on gradually. I'm paler than I usually am. I also have a unpleasant tugging sensation in my neck whenever I move it in one way or another. I'm not depressed, I'm actually really happy. My period was over two weeks ago, so I know it's not that. I'm not anorexic or bulimic, and I haven't had a history of it, nor have I ever had trouble sleeping. I want to know if there's anything I could do personally, before talking to my parents. Help Please?

a friend of my cousin has a german Shepherd and they do NOT train it how a normal person would. the play very aggressively with that dog (i.e. when the dog is chewing on a bone or something, they will start to play "tug of war" with it. then it starts to growl.) also they HIT it, just for fun. not abuse, like slapping it on the face or something. my uncle told me how the dad would say, "hey! watch this!" than he would hit it. they are always saying that it will never hurt their children and it will always protect them. but, my aunt it afraid to be anywhere near that dog without one of the owners with her. and if you are just sitting at the table, the dog will come up to you and put your arm IN ITS MOUTH! when it does it to my aunt, she said how she just froze and couldn't move, because once that dog thinks she is going to hurt the kids, there goes her arm. and this german Shepherd is 115lbs and still not fully grown! a normal size for a full grown male is 85lbs. whenever they invite my aunt over for dinner or to watch a football game or something, my aunt always says, "no! come here instead" because she is terrified of her kids' safety around that dog. when the daughter is playing TAG with the dog and in a "playing matter" the dog will jump on her. almost like tackling her. but it is just playing. my aunt was talking to the owner and saying how what if your son has a friend over and they are playing wrestle, than it looks like the friend is attacking your son, so the dog will want to protect him, and next thing you know, you are in the hospital about to get seued by his friends family. i dont know what to do, i know its not the dogs fault, its the owners..... Gale and i are about a year into our relationship and happy and in love at this time. After telling gale and weighing my options I decide to leave until my life is in order. I inform marry of my decision and she then invites me along on doctors appointments and the like and I'm there for the birth and all that a few weeks later. I then start to contemplate my decision to leave gale and i'm still very much in love with her and I'm starting to miss her. A few days later she calls me and tells me she too is pregnant and my whole life seems to be destroyed despite the fact that i would have loved the news if the circumstances had been different. I've yet to tell Marry and Gale was having a hard time coping with my absence and has moved back home to another state. I miss gale very much but i know if i decide to be with her marry will not let me see my child to whom i've grown very attached but at the same time I want to be there for gales and my child. So I went out to eat breakfast with my boyfriend. Is something wrong with my ear stretching process?

Just 2 days ago, I went from a size 8 gauge to a size 6, after previously trying to put in a 6 after 2 days**. It got infected, so I switched back to the 8. 2 days ago, I made the switch with a bit of pain after waiting a few weeks, but then it didn't hurt at all when I tugged on it. For gits and shiggles, I decided to try and put in my 4, just to see if it would hurt. Surprisingly, it slid in effortlessly and with no pain at all. After waiting 2 days, it didn't hurt for 6-4, but it hurt a LOT from 8-6. Is something wrong?

Dogs' tooth is loose?

a few months ago, i played tug of war with my Pomeranian. I played a little too hard and one of the side tooth stuck out. I pushed it back in place and it looked fine. Now, it is getting loose to a point where I can almost pull it out. At the top of the tooth which connects to the gum, it is still intact somewhat. Im scared if i pull it out, it will start bleeding nonstop? What should I do. Dog attacks puppy when growls?

I have a female dog. Just got a new puppy. When I'm playing tug of war with the puppy and he growls she attacks him. Other times she is staring him down or smelling his private area. Then at times she ignores him. The puppy also will run up and play and bite her and she will run from him. The puppy is always happy to play around her (tail wagging constant). So why does she attack him at that point and smell him alll the time. We've had the puppy for a few weeks

I come from a Muslim family, and I'm 15 y/o. I'm not really sure what I believe in though, and frankly, I'm just too lazy to delve into a search to find that out. I like knowledge and seeking it, but pertaining to the subject of my religion, I'm really not that interested. I like delving into spiritual journeys but not necessarily religious ones. What group does that make me apart of then? I'm not technically an atheist (I think) because I don't deny all deities. But I'm not part of any religion because I'm not sure if there is a god or higher divine power so I won't go and proclaim there is one. Plus, I don't feel like following a specific religious dogma.. How to burn HD video to DVD to Play on a Blue Ray Player?

I have a bunch of HD mkv,avi,mpg4, and mpg videos and some of them I would like to burn to dvd. I really hope to keep the HD video and high bitrates and be able to play them on my LG blue ray player. I also don't particularly want to spend any money. I have an HD video converter so I can make them into DVDs or any other type of video file but when I convert to dvd it downscales the video and lessens the bitrate alot. The videos just don't look as good as there HD counterpart. Is there a method to put these videos on DL dvd without killing the HD and watching them on my player? Military Recruiters Slacking Off?

Recently I've been trying to join the Navy. I've seen two recruiters and so far they have a tug of war. Kenwood deck mounting help?

So I bought a Kenwood deck from my friend. I had noticed that my stock deck was bolted on. And that I had no idea how to bolt my new deck down so it doesnt come out. Stay working as Floor Staff at Regal Cinemas, or go work at Blockbuster for an assistant management position?

To be honest I enjoy my job at Regal. The only reason I am seeking another job is because my mother is pressing me to do so, and considering I live with her (I'm 19 and a college student), I have to abide by her wishes "for the most part". I would do both, but I have a feeling these companies run the same way with inconsistent hours. The reason that I don't like working at Regal has a lot to do with the pay, but I doubt that will change significantly. Another problem I have with Regal is the bi-weekly paychecks. It makes it hard for me to make my car insurance bill on time (sometimes). I know these jobs won't be what I'm doing for the rest of my life, but I want to have a job on my application that shows I'm competent. If I stay at Regal I'll probably make the two year mark, which just makes me look good (no extra benefits or anything). If I potentially get hired at Blockbuster I will have management on my resume. How often does/did your eight month old nap?

I have been having some concerns that my eight month old is sleeping too much. It's not affecting his development whatsoever, but he's napping a lot and has been for the last month or so. He gets up in the morning around 7 (after sleeping all night long), nurses, has breakfast, plays and then goes back down at about 8:00 until about ten. He then takes another nap around 12:30 until about 1:30- 2 ish... then another one at 4 for about a half hour and then another one at 6:30 for about an hour and then goes down for the night around 9- 9:30. I have tried everything to keep him awake, but he gets fussy and cries and tugs his ear rubs his eyes... I am at a loss as to what to do. His pediatrician says it's alright as long as he's developing fine, it's nothing to worry about, but of course I'm still going to worry about it. Belly button ring got tugged on a shirt?

Okay so I was taking my shirt off very stupidly 2 days ago. I took my tank top off by pulling it down. I was even holding my shirt over my piercing but somehow the sport bra inside of it got caught on my piercing. it hurt so badly. It is 3 1/2 weeks old. It was fine before I almost ripped it out. For the last 2 days it has been a tiny bit sore and a little red. The soreness and redness has been going down everyday. Will it be alright? Will this delay the healing process? Just lost baby, should i take new job?

i have currently been working at home at my job only part time. i have full benefits and all the perks. i just had a baby who passed shortly after and now being with my family is very important to me. my partner works at home also so we see each other most of the time. we get along wonderfully as well as the fact we have a nanny that watches them at the house. at my current job, ive just been offered a fulltime position but they cannot garauntee that i will be able to work at home or not. i live 1 hr away from the site. from what they have told me, before training, i will need to turn in my at home computer and everything. i will be making good money, its 8-5 and only one saturday a month. so far we have been dependent on my partner to bring in the money but i know this money will help us lot, especially since we have hired a surrogate an dcould possibly be having twins in this next year. however we are not in dire need- but we dont know the future. my main issue is not being able to spend time with my family the way that i have been. i know lots of people would love to have a job but again this is the same company that i have been working for for 4 years. my family is very important especially with what just happened, i want to treasure all of my time with them but do u think the extra money will be worth it in the long run? i am also in school right now. just wanna know wjhat u guys think. its a real tug of war.

Well before the start of my senior year I decided I wanted to enlist in the Navy. The only problem was that I was about 60 lbs overweight. My mind was set on the Navy so I decided to try and lose some weight..In about 9 months I have lost close to 50 pounds by pure diet and exercise. I didnt do any hardcore cardio or dumb shortcuts..I just ate healthier and went to the gym 3-5 times a week..all I did was the elliptical and ab workouts such as scissor kicks, crunches, and sit ups. I believe the rig would take it based on it's immense mass and contact patch. Even without weight over the drive axels (on either vehicle) the rig is just so much heavier the contact pressure combined with alot more weight would alow it to put the power to the ground. A dually pickup, regardless of drivetrain, is just giving up way to much mass and traction. I doubt it would even be able to move the rig if all brakes were locked, the pickup would simply spin the tires.

I've been cleaning it RELIGIOUSLY with H2Ocean but today i will go buy sea salt to soak it too! do you all know if its infected or what? will it heal back up in time?? im a little scared so someone please help me with answers! btw its not in pain anymore, that went away in a couple of days! now its just bleeding and oozing a bit but not oozing as much as it was a couple of days ago!

What would happen to someone if they were suffering from a mental illness and has been seeking treatment for it but then commits a crime against someone like rape, assault or even murder? im not going to lie and say its to help a friend, its to help me, ive been suffering from a mental illness for over a year now and every couple of months i struggle to keep control over it and quite often that results in unpredicted spells of anger or aggression, it seems to be getting worse and im really worried im going to hurt someone without meaning to. a lot of the doctors ive been seeing aren't being very helpful anymore and its very hard to keep working too. im trying to get better help but i want to know what would happen if i didn't do something if i lost control over it.

Would I be able to to get my ears done again?

Last year around april may I got my ears pierced. After I got to take them out so I could wear the ones that hang. Well anyway I use to wear these one pair and I would accidentally tug on them with my finger because I forgot they were there and I would scratch my ear. The same year but a few months later around august I had to take my one earring out because it made a rip in my ear not a full rip but like the number 1 it dosent hurt but I really want to get it re done because I still have my other ear pierced and its fine.. Anyway the question is do you think I would be able to get it done even though the rip is still there?? I tried a couple of times to see if I could get the earring in but it wont go in and my ear got red. I have like over 30 pairs and I would hate to see them go to waste so please tell me what would you do.

I live in California. I have contacted my local Public Defenders office and they say I do not qualify. There MUST be some way I can get these off my record so I can seek more gainful employment and restore my broken marriage. My wife is insistent that the crimes are off my record though she knew about them before we were married; I was given false information years ago by my public defender that the process would not be hard to get them expunged, in which I passed that information on to her when we were still dating. Though the best case scenario would be that the love my wife had for would be so great that something like this wouldn't matter, unfortunately thats not the case right now and I KNOW God brought us together and I am tryng to make sense out of all this and I have to believe that there is some way to make these felony's disappear. Though I pray that God softens her heart and something like this won't matter, I still have to try whatever I can and exhaust all my resources. I am off probation, I only served county jail time, I have paid all my restitution and I have not not been convicted of anything since. These crimes were strikeable offenses and I did receive strikes (you cant strike out on 1 case). I have a 17 year suspended sentence. There has to be something I can do, no matter how bad my chances may seem, to get these off my record. I was looking at 20-35 years in prison and by the grace of God alone, I only served county time. There has to be something that california law, some exemption, some loophole or special circumstance? Joining the Army Reserve perhaps? Really I am open to all suggestions. From what I understand, the 2 most common dismissals, though I'm not sure of the penal codes, the public defends office says I do not qualify for. Thanks in advance.
