Dogs' tooth is loose?

a few months ago, i played tug of war with my Pomeranian. I played a little too hard and one of the side tooth stuck out. I pushed it back in place and it looked fine. Now, it is getting loose to a point where I can almost pull it out. At the top of the tooth which connects to the gum, it is still intact somewhat. Im scared if i pull it out, it will start bleeding nonstop? What should I do. If i take it a vet, they are just going to pull it out because im pretty sure it wont tighten up because he is 5 years old already? I was going to let it fall off on its own but it has not falling off.How should I pull it off?
